Groups and Activities
Trinity United Methodist Church

We are representative of the great Body of Christ. We celebrate together; we laugh and cry together; we struggle with what it means to be a faithful Christian community in a time of transition, together. Our journey has not always been a smooth one, but it is one which has been marked by a spirit of generosity and acceptance. Our striving to serve Jesus Christ with excellence in all things has created a dynamic atmosphere in which we actively challenge ourselves to stretch our faith in new directions and for new purposes.

As exciting as our recent past has been, the future promises to reveal even more of God's wonders to us. We are called as a group to reach out to an ever more diverse community searching desperately for the spiritual reality represented by Jesus Christ and a grace-full compassionate God. We at Trinity undertake joyfully the call of Christ to teach, preach, and love in His name. The following list of activities are some of the opportunities we have chosen to respond to the call of Christ to spread his Word and share in fellowship and fun with each other.

In-Church Opportunities

Trinity Choir
Trinity Choir blesses our 10 a.m. service Sunday mornings with a variety of musical selections. Brian Walls directs the group's gift of praise. All are welcome to join this group and make a joyful noise to the Lord. The choir practices on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and sings September through May

Xtreme Youth
We have an active youth group at TUMC, of middle and high school students. At our weekly Sunday 6-8 p.m. meetings, we sing praise to the music of the Xtreme Youth Praise Band, we gather for a devotion, we eat a meal together, and we play!!! Our group is involved in local mission events and yearly takes a mission trip. For more info contact Pastor Judi at 667-4381.

United Methodist Women
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We have three branches of the UMW, the Hannah Circle, the Faith Circle, and the Naomi Circle. For more information contact Betty Rhodes.

Prayer Chain
Trinity has an active Prayer Chain, to be used whenever you know of a prayer need. To activate the Prayer Chain, please contact the church office at 667-4381, Carroll Witler (635-2708) or Helen Herwig (667-5924). If you would like to offer the gift of prayer, please contact the church office to join our Prayer Chain.

Outreach Ministries

Salvation Army
For more than a century, the Salvation Army has been helping those who have exhausted all resources and have no where else to go for assistance. The Salvation Army renders assistance regardless of religious beliefs, race, age, or any other characteristic. Trinity is currently taking a lead in helping to re-organize the Loveland / Berthoud unit of the Salvation Army.

Additional Mission/Outreach Opportunities
Trinity UMC is involved locally in support of the House of Neighborly Services and Alternatives to Violence. We participate in the CROP Walk of Loveland and the Heifer Project. Mom's Club and Boy Scouts meet regularly throughout the year in our church building.

Community Kitchen
Here at Trinity, we've been helping serve the hungry and homeless at the Community Kitchen (at the Presbyterian Church on 4th St.) for quite a few years. Helping folks who are experiencing tough times is a big part of Christ's call to live a life of love and compassion, and we want as many people as possible to experience the feeling of giving their time and energy to help others. Trinity serves on the third Tuesday of each month, and we need your help! For more information contact Wanda Carlson at 613-0776.

Holiday Cookie Ministry
Each year we sponsor a Holiday Cookie Ministry, delivering holiday goodies and cheer to local nursing homes and shut-ins. For more information contact Renee Goode at 667-7703.

Softball
Trinity participates in the local softball league through the city of Loveland. Our men have brought home several trophies in recent years and are enthusiastic about this year's season. For more info, contact Michael Melancon, 667-2956.
