What we Believe
At Trinity Church, our faith is centered on the life, love, and teachings of Jesus Christ. As part of the United Methodist Church, we’re grounded in tradition yet always looking forward.
Here’s what shapes how we live and believe:
Grace Over Sin
We believe grace (AKA God's Love) always appears first. It isn’t something we earn. Grace finds us just as we are, even in our mess and mistakes, and invites us into something better. We know people are imperfect, but we trust that God’s forgiving grace is bigger than our brokenness and always leads to redemption, healing, and hope.
We take a thoughtful approach to faith. The Bible is our main source for understanding about who Jesus Christ is and who we’re called to be. It tells God's perfect story, but we also bring in reason, tradition, and personal experience when reading it. This mix, called the Wesleyan Quadrilateral, helps us stay rooted while still being real and relevant today.
A
Balanced Faith
Holiness in
Action
We strive to be holy by trusting the Holy Spirit to lead us in the deep, soul-shaping work that forms us more into the likeness of God. But holiness isn't meant to be kept to ourselves. While some focus only on personal improvement, Methodists believe holiness must be lived out. It's a faith that acts, feeding the hungry, seeking justice, and serving others. In our tradition, holiness is not just about being set apart but about being sent out.
Faith is a journey, not a checklist. Want to connect? Whether you're new to faith or looking for a place to belong, we’d love to welcome you. Come as you are. There’s room here for you.
